Wild dog control
Wild dogs attack and maul sheep, goats and calves, and a single dog can cause heavy losses. Targeted, well-planned control protects your stock.

The problem and the damage
- Attacks on sheep, goats and calves, often with many animals injured in one night.
- Stress on stock that affects condition and lambing.
- Losses that may go unnoticed until stock are counted.
Why act early
One wild dog can do a lot of damage in a short time. Acting quickly after you see signs, and before lambing or calving, limits losses.
Best time to act
Before lambing and calving is a key time, as is the period when young dogs disperse into new areas.
Wild dog management is often coordinated across districts through Local Land Services and local groups. We are happy to work alongside your local plan.
How we control them
Targeted ground shooting by a Category D licensed shooter, day or night, with thermal imaging after dark. Wild dog control is carried out in line with the NSW rules that apply to your property.
All work follows the Code of Practice for the Humane Shooting of Pest Animals in NSW and NSW firearms laws. We never target native species.
Before we start
- A site risk assessment covering boundaries, houses, roads, stock, neighbours and native wildlife areas.
- A written agreement setting out what we will do, where and when, before any work starts.
- Safe areas and times agreed with you. We ask you to tell us where stock and people will be.
- No unauthorised people on site while we are working.
- All equipment supplied. You do not need to provide anything.
Who it's for
- Farms
- Rural landholders
- Councils
- Golf courses
- Schools
- Industrial sites
Where a site is close to people, such as schools, golf courses or industrial sites, work is planned around safe times. If shooting is not suitable for a site, we will tell you honestly.
Neighbour programs
Feral animals do not stop at the fence. When neighbouring properties book together, we can plan one coordinated program across the boundary, which usually gives better results for everyone. Ask about group pricing.
