How the checker works
Each sign points to the animals that most often cause it. The more signs that point to an animal, the higher it ranks.
- Ground dug up or rooted, wallows in wet spots: feral pigs
- Dams, troughs or creeks muddied and fouled: feral pigs
- Newborn lambs or kids missing or killed: foxes, wild dogs, feral pigs
- Sheep or calves bitten, mauled or chased: wild dogs
- Chickens or ducks taken at night: foxes, feral cats
- Burrows and warrens, bare scraped patches: rabbits
- Young trees, crops or seedlings chewed off: rabbits, hares, feral deer
- Fences pushed through or broken: feral pigs, feral deer, feral horses, feral donkeys, feral goats
- Pasture grazed bare, competition with stock for water: feral goats, feral horses, feral donkeys
- Deer seen, or bark rubbed off trees: feral deer
- Fewer native birds and small wildlife around: foxes, feral cats
